The Next “Environment Friendly” Disaster?

Overcoming monetarism will require that a majority understands its basic premises. But the most important one is, without a doubt, which establishing that Man will never stand above Nature, unless he goes by her rules first. This is how freedom for a greater good is achieved. Otherwise we will always end up with paradoxes creating threats of all kinds, and which are used at masses’ expenses.

To utilize the Laws of the Universe, one must first comprehend them. This twist is a Natural Law onto itself, and generally quick profits (competitive darwinism stemming from the reptilian brain) seek to bypass or ignore the latter.

Do ‘environmentally friendly’ LED lights cause BLINDNESS? | 14 May 2013

Spanish research has shown that blue LED light can irreparably damage the cells in the eye’s retina
This is not the first time energy-saving bulbs have been criticised – fluorescent bulbs emit dangerous UV light
The government’s Enhanced Capital Allowance Scheme, which was brought in to help cut UK carbon emissions, is also pushing the use of LED lighting by offering businesses added tax relief if they use LED and other low-energy bulbs……. Dr. Celia Sánchez-Ramos, of Complutense University in Madrid and who led the study, explained that light from LEDs, or light-emitting diodes, comes from the short-wave, high-energy blue and violet end of the visible light spectrum…… Her comments are partly based on her 2012 study that was published in the journal Photochemistry and Photobiology………. How LED Lighting May Compromise Your Health | Oct 2016

Largely as a result of energy efficiency, there’s been a major transition to using LED as a primary indoor light source. In this regard, it worked like a charm, reducing energy requirements by as much as 95 percent compared to incandescent thermal analog sources of lighting. However, the heat generated by incandescent light bulbs, which is infrared radiation, is actually beneficial to your health, and hence worth the extra cost……. If you chose to ignore these new insights, it can have very serious long-term ramifications. It could lead to age-related macular degeneration (AMD), which is the leading cause of blindness in the United States and elsewhere………… Since LEDs have virtually no infrared and an excess of blue light that generates reactive oxygen species (ROS), this explains why LEDs are so harmful for your eyes and overall health………. The Dark Side of LED Lightbulbs

(harbor large amounts of arsenic, nickel and lead)
……. If any LEDs break at home, Ogunseitan recommends sweeping them up while wearing gloves and a mask, and disposing of the debris — and even the broom — as hazardous waste. Furthermore, crews dispatched to clean up car crashes or broken traffic lights (LEDs are used extensively for automotive and traffic lighting) should wear protective clothing and handle material as hazardous waste. LEDs are currently not considered toxic by law and can be disposed of in regular landfills………… According to Ogunseitan, LED makers could easily reduce the concentrations of heavy metals in their products or even redesign them with truly safer materials, especially if state or federal regulators required them to do so…… https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/led-lightbulb-concerns/

American Medical Association warns of health and safety problems from ‘white’ LED streetlights | June 17, 2016

Municipalities are replacing existing streetlights with efficient and long-lasting LEDs to save money on energy and maintenance. Although the streetlights are delivering these benefits, the AMA’s stance reflects how important proper design of new technologies is and the close connection between light and human health…………… The new “white” LED street lighting which is rapidly being retrofitted in cities throughout the country has two problems, according to the AMA. The first is discomfort and glare. Because LED light is so concentrated and has high blue content, it can cause severe glare, resulting in pupillary constriction in the eyes. Blue light scatters more in the human eye than the longer wavelengths of yellow and red, and sufficient levels can damage the retina. This can cause problems seeing clearly for safe driving or walking at night…. LED Market is expected to reach $96.71 Billion by 2024 at a CAGR of 15.9% from 2018 to 2024.

PS: This product must be banned, and it tells a lot about American Medical Association itself. Nothing medical here, as it means more profits for them though. Monetarism is killing science.
