Nature Determines The Threshold of Human Consumption

Anybody who listened to “Escape! From the Cult of Materialismhere below, has learned somethings valuable: Adam Smith believed that if individuals were allowed to indulge themselves into profit seeking, societies would become wealthy. Well big business and billionaires indulge between themselves… they exactly follow Adam Smith’s theory. And not only them, most people do.

However and no matter how we look at the picture, we can clearly see that it is the “premise of profit seeking” that is the culprit. The flaw is embedded in the premise. Greed, hoarding money, is a destroyer. But we have been so much conditioned to think otherwise.

Nature has defined for us a threshold of consumption (so that nobody goes hungry, has a roof and progress is accomplished voluntarily, science cannot be turned into a business) that respects Her generosity. And this is called the zero-sum game. A society with no rich nor poor. Every time money is hoarded, an imbalance is created. And of course this is proportional to the number of billionaires/millionaires/upper classes on the planet. The more wealth on one side of the fence, the more poverty on its other side. Nature is working for the benefit of human beings in the end, because if we can understand the zero-sum game economics, we’d not have to live in  a system that is cannibalizing itself. Every crisis is in fact a warning from Nature, for us to pay attention.

A for profit system, thus in favor of hording money, cannot spend on fixing the damages it causes, otherwise profits would vanish. So society is caught at its own game: more human suffering and more ecological disasters, all of which are documented on this blog.

Socialism for the masses and corporatism for businesses are of the same mold. Socialism does not work out because it is coerced. Good cannot be enforced. It must be comprehended through a revolution within. As for corporatism it has been successful – so far – because the consensus supports employment, though in the long run it does not make any sense since it does not profit the average people. Eventually something will have to be done about it.

FROM YT ORIGINAL PAGE: Anyone who fails to satisfy his or her desires in this age of the Ego is  deemed a loser. But with more than 7 billion people on the Earth, the  ramifications of this excessive consumption of resources are already  clear. Isn’t the deplorable state of our planet proof enough that “The  Greed Program,” which has made us crave possessions, status and power,  is coming to an end? Or is the frenzied search for more and more still  an indispensable part of our nature? We set off to look for the essence of greed. And we tell the stories of people who – whether as perpetrators or victims or even just as willing consumers – have become  accomplices in a sea change in values.

Anybody willing to really change the world needs to grasp the inner workings of competition, and why if we do not change our way of life, we ALL are going to suffer. Most of the cryptocurrencies are in the hands of people who already have enough money, so the ball game is not going to change, but understanding how the brain works and why The Holistic Brain Is The Only Remedy
